The first main ring of the inner steel containment has been installed at Unit 1 of the Guangxi Bailong nuclear power station under construction in southern China, according to owner State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC).
Bailong-1 will be a 1,160-MW pressurised water reactor unit of the CAP1000 design. Construction began in December 2025.
