Kaleidos plant could be first new commercial reactor design to achieve fuelled test in over 50 years
The US Department of Energy has approved the safety design strategy for Los Angeles-based Radiant Industries’ Kaleidos microreactor, a portable nuclear plant which can be deployed almost anywhere and which will be tested at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL).
