Sweden-based small modular reactor (SMR) developer Blykalla has agreed a partnership with Höganäs to develop specialised materials and manufacturing processes for Blykalla’s Swedish Advanced Lead-cooled Reactor, or Sealer.
Blykalla said the partnership spans three key areas: industrialisation, qualification, and commercialisation. Höganäs, a Swedish company, is the world's largest producer of powdered metals. It develops and markets powders for customers in metallurgical industries.
