Monaco-based luxury yacht designer Espen Oeino International has unveiled a concept for a 120-metre vessel powered by a 100% nuclear-electric system.
The company said the study, developed in cooperation with Emerald Nuclear and Peregrine Turbine Technologies, shows how advanced nuclear technologies may shape the future of yachting.
Emerald Nuclear is a 2024 startup developing a 5-MW microreactor known as Gem and Peregrine Turbine Technologies is a US-based company developing energy technologies including a supercritical CO2 heat engine designed to operate from any compatible heat source.
