After 10-year project site near Vilnius no longer classified as ‘nuclear’
Lithuania’s nuclear decommissioning company Altra has completed the decommissioning of the Soviet-era Maisiagala Radioactive Waste Storage Facility with all radioactive waste, radionuclide-contaminated structures and contaminated soil have been removed and the site cleaned up and restored.
