The European Industrial Alliance on Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) has adopted an ambitious five-year action plan calling for industry and government to address challenges that could help the development, demonstration and deployment of a new generation of reactors in Europe by the early 2030s.

The plan also emphasises activities aimed at financing, public engagement, fuel and waste management, as well as the issues related to safety and security.
