Central Asia served as important source of element in former Soviet Union
Work to remediate former uranium legacy sites in Shekaftar and Min-Kush, in Kyrgyzstan, has been completed, bringing “a major environmental benefit” for Central Asia’s most populous region and securing the sustainability of the sites for years to come, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development said.
