A project to build a first NuScale Voygr small modular reactor station in Utah is set to continue after the companies involved reaffirmed their commitment to the technology by approving a new budget and financing plan and an update to the development cost reimbursement agreement.

The US-based SMR company said this “key milestone” was reached with the receipt and acceptance by a project management committee of an estimate which “further refines the anticipated total cost of the project”.
