Generation IV nuclear power plant developer Terrestrial Energy and Numerical Advisory Solutions have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate further on site evaluation, plant development and project deployment for Terrestrial Energy’s Integral Molten Salt Reactor (IMSR).

North Carolina-based Terrestrial Energy said the parties intend to work initially to evaluate US sites for IMSR plant deployment with a focus on sites in Texas, and then subsequently on project development through to construction and commercial operation.

Numerical Advisory Solutions (NAS), also North Carolina-based, provides engineering for the design and operation of nuclear plants, including software tools and analysis.
