Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco) has said it will start experimental removal of fuel debris from the damaged Fukushima-Daiichi nuclear plant starting in October 2024 at the latest.
According to a report released by Tepco last month, fuel removal, which will begin at Unit 2, had been initially scheduled for the second half of the 2023 Japanese fiscal year, or between October 2023 and March 2024.
