Loan office says 6.3 GW of nuclear capacity will be supported
Atlanta-based utility Southern Company will look to boost its nuclear capacity in the states of Georgia and Alabama following a major $26.5bn (€22.5bn) loan package from the US Department of Energy aimed at upgrading the electricity system.
