French small modular reactor developer NAAREA has been awarded €10m ($10.9m) in grant funding for the design of its XAMR project, with pilot prototype deployment scheduled for 2027.
NAAREA, or Nuclear Abundant Affordable Resourceful Energy for All, said the funding was awarded by the government’s France 2030 investment plan focused on innovative nuclear reactors.
