A Global Coalition For Nuclear Philanthropy (GCNP) has been estabished by charitable organisations The Rockefeller Foundation and the Temasek Trust with the objective of investing in a more equitable distribution of nuclear energy around the world.
GCNP was launched at the Philanthropy Asia Summit in Singapore. Coalition members include Blue Horizons Foundation, CleanEcon, Founders Pledge, Ray Rothrock and the Rodel Foundation, with the Oppenheimer Project serving as strategic partner.
The Rockefeller Foundation is a private philanthropic organisation established in 1913 by oil magnate John D. Rockefeller. The Temasek Trust is a non-profit philanthropic entity established by Temasek Holdings, a global investment company that is wholly owned by the government of Singapore.
