California-based compact fast reactor developer Oklo said it has won a $2m cost-share award from the US Department of Energy (DOE) for the commercialisation of advanced fuel recycling capabilities through electro-refining technology.
Oklo said it will be matching $1m in funds and is partnering with the DOE and Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) on this public-private partnership through the DOE’s technology commercialisation fund.
