The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has published its final environmental impact statement for the proposed licence renewal for the Summer-1 nuclear power plant in South Carolina.
The NRC statement said expected environmental impacts from the renewal are “not great” and should not rule out or forbid subsequent licensing.
