Indonesia’s Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (Bapeten) has completed its first-round review and submitted requests for additional information related to Singapore-based nuclear power company Thorcon’s plans to deploy its advanced molten salt reactor (MSR) technology in Indonesia.
Thorcon said in a statement that it had held its first meeting with Bapeten to discuss the requests for additional information on 17 April. “Both parties found that the application is on the right track towards the final approval,” the statement said.
