Unit 1 to close on 22 February, Unit 2 on 30 June
The French government has published an official order confirming the permanent shutdown schedule for the two-unit Fessenheim nuclear power station in France's eastern Alsace region.A decree published today in the state Official Journal (Journal official) and announced by the French prime minister said Fessenheim-1 will be permanently shut down on 22 February 2020, followed by Fessenheim-2 on 30 June 2020.
