Poland’s state nuclear project company Polskie Elektrownie Jądrowe (PEJ) has held talks on the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the country first nuclear power station during a government and industry mission to the US, the company said.

PEJ president Marek Woszczyk took part in talks with the US-based consortium of Westinghouse Electric Company and Bechtel Corporation alongside government plenipotentiary for strategic energy infrastructure Wojciech Wrochna.

PEJ said the discussions formed a central part of a broader Polish-US nuclear cooperation mission involving representatives of government, industry groups and domestic companies.
