Poland’s state-controlled oil refiner and petrol retailer PKN Orlen has ambitious plans to deploy as many as 76 small modular reactor units in 26 locations by 2038, company head Daniel Obajtek told local journalists.

Obajtek said some of the locations will be revealed by mid-2023. “We are already examining these locations,” he said, according to local news outlet Gazeta Prawna.
