Delays caused by the holdup of critical equipment by Germany’s Siemens earmarked for Turkey’s first nuclear power station at Akkuyu have been resolved, Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom, which is building the facility, said.

Officials said in September that commercial operation of Akkuyu’s first plant been delayed by a few months after Siemens Energy withheld some parts scheduled for Akkuyu.

A Siemens Energy spokesperson was reported by local press as confirming that some parts were not delivered due to German export regulations.
