Bulgaria’s Constitutional Court has dismissed a request for appeal of a January motion by parliament on beginning negotiations with US-based Westinghouse Electric for the potential deployment of one or two AP1000 nuclear reactor units at the existing Kozloduy site in the north of the country.
The motion was passed on 12 January with the votes of the centre-right Gerb party, liberal-right Democratic Bulgaria, and centrist DPS, while liberal Change Continues abstained.
