enCore Energy, which has officially become a uranium producer with the restart of the South Texas Rosita in-situ uranium central processing plant (CPP), is anticipating its first shipment of yellowcake to occur over the course of the next weeks.
Yellowcake, or U3O8, is a type of uranium concentrate powder used to produce fuel for nuclear power reactors.
The Corpus Christie, Texas-based company, which began trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market on 2 January, said it had completed the refurbishment and upgrading of the Rosita CPP from long-term cold standby in 20 months.
