Beijing backing ambitious plans for 200 GW of reactor capacity by 2040
China’s state council has approved the construction of eight new nuclear power units in Zhejiang, Guangdong, Liaoning and Shandong provinces, with four using new generation Hualong One 2.0 technology for the first time, state-owned China General Nuclear (CGN) said.
