Brussels-based group calls for ‘radical improvement’ in funding for research, development, innovation and education
The European Union must implement a comprehensive nuclear energy strategy to transition into a reliable, affordable, secure, and sovereign low-carbon energy system, but faces challenges such as securing investments and extending the operational lifetime of the current fleet, according to a position paper by the High Scientific Council (HSC) of the Brussels-based European Nuclear Society (ENS).
