France’s nuclear regulator ASN audited a number of checks carried out by state-controlled nuclear operator EDF following an earthquake last month that affected the Cruas nuclear power station.ASN said EDF had carried out inspections at the station, in the Ardèche region of southern France, on 20 and 22 November and it had audited the results before it gave approval for the reactors at the facility to restart.ASN approved the restart of Cruas-2 and Cruas-4 on 6 December and of Cruas-3 on 11 December.
