Westinghouse Electric Company, which will provide its AP1000 reactor technology for Poland’s first nuclear power station, has chosen specialist construction company Mostostal Kraków to support the construction of the facility in the northern province of Pomerania.

Mostostal Kraków, a fully-owned subsidiary of Polish construction group Budimex, will potentially manufacture and assemble steel structures, large structural modules, and housings.

Budimex said in a statement earlier this month that Mostostal Kraków is involved in the development and qualification process for Westinghouse suppliers.
