The welding of the main circulation pipeline has been completed for Unit 1 of the Kursk 2 nuclear power station under construction in western Russia, state nuclear corporation Rosatom said.

The pipeline connects the reactor pressure vessel (RPV) with the steam generators and the reactor coolant pumps. Welding took 55 days instead of the scheduled 80, said Rosatom.
