Two reactor units at new Barakah station already in operation
The United Arab Emirates is “well ahead of the curve” when it comes to ensuring energy security and energy sustainability as a result of the “wise decisions” taken back in 2006 to develop a diversified energy policy including construction of the Arab world’s first commercial nuclear power station at Barakah, Mohamed Al Hammadi, managing director and chief executive officer of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (Enec), told the World Government Summit in Dubai.
