Construction began in 2012 and nuclear reactor project is now more than 96% complete
Unit 2 at the Barakah nuclear power station in the United Arab Emirates is likely to begin commercial operations this year with the operating licence for Unit 3 also on schedule to be issues in 2022, the head of the nuclear regulator said.
