Uniper Sweden announced it will be assessing the options of extending the operational ligetime of the Oskarshamn-3 nuclear power reactor unit from 60 to 80 years.

The company said the move could allow the reactor to remain in operation until 2065, subject to a decision to extend its life in the early 2030s.
