95% of uranium purchased by US nuclear power plant operators originated in other countries
Uranium concentrate (U3O8) production in the US was nearly 10 times higher than 2021 in 2022, partly as a result of higher uranium prices, but remained near historic lows despite operations resuming at the White Mesa Mill in Utah, the country’s only operating conventional uranium mill.
