Russia’s Tvel has delivered the first batch of mixed oxide (MOX) fuel for the Beloyarsk-4 BN-800 fast neutron reactor, a statement by state nuclear corporation Rosatom said.According to the statement, loading of the 18 fuel assemblies into the reactor core is scheduled for the last quarter of 2019.Rosatom has said earlier that the fuel pellets in the assemblies were made of a mixture of depleted uranium oxides accumulated from enterprises connected to state nuclear fuel company Tvel and plutonium oxides separated during the reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel.
