Turkey and Danish advanced reactor developer Copenhagen Atomics have signed an agreement to cooperate on research into the potential use of thorium as fuel for molten salt reactors, according to the Turkish energy ministry.
The ministry said that the memorandum of understanding signed between the Turkish Energy, Nuclear and Mining Research Institute (Tenmak) and Copenhagen Atomics aims to develop research in the field of thorium as potential fuel for nuclear reactors.
