Thorium is a promising fuel for next-generation reactors because of its abundance, but the transition from uranium faces challenges because of the need for new fuel fabrication, recycling and regulatory systems, James Walker, chief executive officer of US-based nuclear technology company Nano Nuclear Energy, told NucNet
