A majority of French people consider nuclear energy to be a strategic asset for the country, according a recent Ipsos public opinion survey.
The survey, concluded in November 2025 and commissioned by nuclear fuel company Orano, found that 61% of French people consider nuclear energy an asset for France, up four points since 2023 and 14 points since the survey was first conducted in 2019.
