Over half of Swedes support the use of nuclear power and the development of more capacity in the country if it were necessary, a poll by Novus commissioned by energy industry network the Analysis Group (Analysgruppen) shows.

In total, 56% said they backed nuclear power or would support more reactor development, which was up slightly from 55% a year before, the poll conducted in October 2025 showed.

The poll also showed a slight increase to 29% of people who wanted to see the use of existing nuclear power plants but did not support the rollout of new power stations, which was up from 26% of respondents who answered the same a year previously.
