Key steam turbine components for Rolls-Royce SMR’s first three small modular reactors (SMRs) at the Gwyndod project, on Ynys Môn (Anglesey) in North Wales, will be manufactured at Siemens Energy’s Newcastle site in northeast England.

Rolls-Royce SMR said this marks the first time such components will be produced for a SMR anywhere in Europe.
