New reactor could be deployed in the early 2030s
Rolls-Royce Group has reached agreement with Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), the sovereign wealth fund of the State of Qatar, to invest £85m in Rolls-Royce SMR Limited, the company building a new small modular reactor for deployment early next decade.
