18 Jul (NucNet): The nuclear energy industry is coming to realise that digitalisation is paramount, but the challenge is to make sure digital technology is sustainable over the lifetime of a plant – and that human knowledge is captured as the first generation of workers retires.
In an interview with NucNet, Paul Da Cruz, an energy and utilities expert at France-based IT company Atos, said it is crucial for the nuclear sector to adopt digital technologies because they can improve safety and optimise operation and costs.
Mr Da Cruz also spoke about the importance of a digitalised supply chain, and the impact of digitalisation on cyber security.
