Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) chief executive officer Ralph LaRossa said the company is considering selling power from its nuclear energy stations in New Jersey directly to data centres.
Power Engineering quoted LaRossa as saying PSEG has had discussions about nuclear power sales including sales to mid-size data centres, each with a demand of about 50 to 100 MW.
In its quarterly earnings call, the company said it is in discussions about direct power sales to data centre from one of its units in New Jersey.
PSEG has also received inquiries for co-located data centres at the nuclear plants, LaRossa said.
