South Korea is aiming to bid for a $14bn (€14.1bn) project to build the first commercial nuclear power plants in the oil-rich kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reports have said.
According to Business Korea, South Korea’s president Yoon Suk-yeol plans to hold talks with Saudi crown prince Mohammed Bin Salman in November.
In May 2022, Saudi Arabia, the world’s top oil exporter, invited South Korea, China, Russia and France to bid for the construction of two nuclear power plants with a capacity of 1,400 MW each.
