Poland and France have signed a treaty that includes plans for cooperation in the civil nuclear energy sector as Paris eyes potentially lucrative new-build contracts from Warsaw.

The treaty includes plans for joint activities aimed at capitalising on the advantages of nuclear for the decarbonisation of European industry.

The two nations are also planning to work together to strengthen the security of supply of nuclear fuel.
