The nuclear industry’s performance during the coronavirus pandemic is evidence that nuclear energy is needed for security of supply and cannot be disregarded by the European Union as it moves towards its 2050 net-zero emissions targets, a representative of the Brussels-based nuclear industry group Foratom has said.
