Reactors can help tackle major challenges, says IAEA head
There has been a “palpable change” in global perceptions to nuclear energy with countries reversing previous policies to phase out nuclear and others moving decisively into nuclear because “we have to be led by science and by economically feasible decisions, and not by ideology”, International Atomic Energy Agency director-general Rafael Grossi told the opening of the IAEA International Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Power in the 21st Century on Wednesday (26 October).
