The advanced nuclear reactor developer Oklo, backed by AI billionaire Sam Altman, has agreed to use components from Siemens Energy in its power plants, a move aimed at reducing costs and accelerating the deployment of its fusion technology.
The company plans to use Siemens Energy steam turbines for its reactors, according to a statement on 13 August.
The agreement with Siemens means Oklo power plants will use established turbine technology from one of the power industry’s main suppliers.
