1 May (NucNet): Nuclear power is Europe’s largest source of low-carbon electricity, but its contribution is set to fall sharply and without policy changes and three-quarters of Europe’s ageing nuclear fleet could be decommissioned by 2040, Fatih Birol, executive director of the International Energy Agency, has said.
