Nuclear propulsion offers the lowest operational cost for bulk shipping carriers which could use reactors to sail “longer, faster, and cheaper”, all without producing greenhouse gas emissions, a report by Netherlands-based nuclear development and consulting company ULC-Energy has concluded.
