Advance Act covers range of key areas seen as crucial to reactor deployment
Bipartisan legislation passed by the US Senate will ensure the US maintains its leadership on the global nuclear energy stage, but more work needs to be done to make sure the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) becomes more efficient while maintaining its focus on safety, Maria Korsnick, president and chief executive officer at the Washington-based Nuclear Energy Institute said.
