South Korea is planning to add nuclear energy to its sustainable finance taxonomy with environment minister Han Wha-jin promising to have a final version of new rules ready before the end of September.
BusinessKorea reported that a number of ministries are working on a draft of the taxonomy, which is expected to be released late this month.
After discussions lasting over two years, the South Korean government announced plans for the taxonomy on 30 December 2021,
Ms Han said the revision will maintain the overall target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 40% from 2018 levels by 2030.
