South Korea’s new president Yoon Suk-yeol has confirmed earlier pledges to support a nuclear power revival in the Asian country on a visit to a Doosan nuclear equipment manufacturing facility earlier this week.

The local Yonhap news agency quoted Mr Yoon as saying that his government wants to “rebuild” the nuclear power industry, support its expansion overseas, and reverse a nuclear phaseout policy pursued by his predecessors.
